Lemon drizzle

Lemon drizzle
Original recipe

Use a mixer and blend together:
  • 100g unsalted butter 
  • 200g caster sugar 
  • 3 large eggs 
  • 100ml milk
Sift in: 
  • 250g self-raising flour 
  • pinch of salt 
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder 
Add zest of 1 large lemon 

Line a baking tray and bake at 180 for 35 mins

For the drizzle: 
Juice of 1 large lemon 
100ml water 
170g caster sugar

When the cake is ready, pour the drizzle syrup over the tin, let the cake cool in the tin.
